Geneva is the nearest airport, at around an hour’s drive away. We recommend hiring a car from the Swiss side – it’s much easier to find when returning the car than the French side.

Directions

Full directions will be sent with your booking.

From Geneva Airport, follow signs to France. Then follow signs to Chamonix, which will take you onto the A40. Leave the A40 at junction 18 for Cluses.

Follow signs for Samoëns/Taninges through Cluses. Follow signs for Samoëns after Cluses as you climb up through the mountain roads.

Follow signs for Sixt Fer-a-Cheval after Samoëns and when you arrive in Sixt follow signs to Cascade du Rouget/Salvagny. As you climb the hill after crossing the bridge, look out for the Auberge de Salvagny on the right, and turn immediately left signposted Lavoisier. Take the second track on the left hand side, as the road bears right, and the chalet is the third on the right.

Please remember snow chains in the winter, as the track to the chalet is steep.
